The Bike, well my bike or just a bike

A couple of years ago I picked up a Salsa Fargo frame and fork with the idea of adventure touring. I had some 29'r disc wheels and a build kit from an old cross bike but then it sat. Two winters later it came together. After 250 miles of mixed day trips and commuting I …

I made a trip around the Monte Cristo Mountains. From past trips south of Sand Mountain and through the Gabbs Valley Range the Monte Cristos always caught my eye. The biggest surprise came from the views in the washes. Great Nevada backroads. #bikepackingnv #onlyinnevada #rideoutside #mountains
Sunrise on the Black Rock Desert playa is a 4 seasons event. It is drying out quickly. Where I was riding today was covered by water only last month. I made a quick tour of Coyote Springs Dunes. #blackrockdesert #onlyinnevada #bikepackingnv #sunrise
My newsletter! Thanks for everyone's support. This was inspired by my trip around Mt Shasta. Link in bio.
A monthly newsletter based on the background research that inspires my rides. First topic will be Disappearing Glaciers inspired by my trip around Mt. Shasta.
A little snowshoe on the PCT. Carson Pass to Winnemucca Lake. It was great to see people enjoying the winter landscape. Looking forward to a summer paddle board trip here.
Hunter Lake Rd is a favorite climb above Reno in the Carson Range splitting the Mt Rose Wilderness. It can be a toss up in the winter, too snowy, too icy, too muddy. Today was good. There was hike-a-bike, but overall I got to pedal the majority. Thanks to Greg on his tracked quad for packing a route. The first 5 photos are at each mile of the ride. The conditions should improve over the next few weeks. #fatbike #winterride #onlyinnevada #reno #kalikrew
